Evil Twin in a Secret Garden

13 September 2013

Hat - H&M
Dress - Evil Twin
Boots - All Saints

I'd wanted this Evil Twin dress for quite a while after spotting it on two of the bloggers I follow on lookbook here and here. Trying to track it down to buy however, was no easy task as it's a style from a couple of seasons ago and everywhere that had sold it now seemed to be out of stock.

Not being one to give up, I eventually found it on Zalando and guess what... not in my size! Zalando have a handy 'notify me when available' option so I ticked the appropriate box and forgot all about it until a couple of weeks ago when an e-mail arrived. The dress was back in stock and in my size, and it was reduced... and did I mention Zalando offer free international delivery and returns?! The temptation was just too much!

Even though it's more of a summer dress as the fabric is very light, I was more than warm enough pairing it with tights and boots when the sun decided to make an appearance! I was visiting a friend who lives about two hours away when these pictures were taken and the weather when I'd set off from home had not been all sunshine and warmth - hence the tights!

Apologies for the not-so-great quality images, they were taken on my iPhone in my friends lovely back garden. The cute little wendy house was just too good not to use, even if I did feel a little bit Alice in Wonderland perched in front of that tiny wooden door.

It turns out working full-time and blogging regularly don't fit together too well. I started my new job just under a month ago, around about the same time the lack of blog posts kicked in. The early morning routine is getting easier but I had forgotten just how tiring working five days a week can be! So I guess I'll just have to get used to blogging tired from now on...

My days off have become precious now that I work five out of seven, so I spent last Sunday with all the family, celebrating my sister's birthday. Wearing a dress wouldn't have been a wise option with eight and five year old nephews to entertain all day. That said, white shirt and white patterned trousers wasn't too sensible of a choice either, since I spent the afternoon playing football followed by painting rocks - with dangerously bright coloured paint. How I made it home stain free is beyond me!
